Shapwick is located just one mile from Badbury Rings on the B3082 between Wimborne Minster and Blandford Forum, and two miles from Sturminster Marshall, which is on the main A350 between Poole and Blandford Forum.

The Charles Bennett Olympic Mile 2012 will be clearly sign-posted from the main roads and within the village of Shapwick itself.
